Urban agriculture, urban farming, or urban gardening is the practice of cultivating, processing, and distributing food in or around urban areas.
NY Farm Group is undertaking a pilot program to acquire grow pods and install them in select urban areas of Long Island initially , with expansion to Upstate NY . These pods allow for growing 365 days per year, and are ideal for former industrial areas , with abundant abandoned or vacant industrial buildings.
